Reduction of emissions by modernizing the melting process
The company PROMET FOUNDRY a.s. received funds from EU for project implemented from 2013 to 2014. The core of this project was focused on modernization of current technologies for foundry production. The modernization was based on installation of 2 new electric induction furnaces and shutdown of current cupola furnace. By implementation of this project it has been achieved the reduction of PM emissions by roughly 0,1 tons per year, of SO2 by about 8.2 ton per year, of CO2 by about 10.9 tons per year, NOx by about 1.37 tons per year and the emissions of primary particles and precursors of secondary particles of about 5. 734 tons per year. The total costs of 35 033 00 CZK of which the EU fund was 14 013 200 CZK, the rest of 60% had been contributed by PROMET FOUNDRY itself.
Reduction of VOC in the castings rettery
The company PROMET FOUNDRY a.s. received the grants from EU to realise the project called “Reduction of VOC in the castings rettery”. The project was focused on installation of afterburner unit for elimination of emission of volatile organic compounds produced in the rettery. The project had been financed from the EU grant from Operation programme of Environment. The total costs of project were at the level of 6 375 000 CZK from which 4 371 237 CZK was the EU grant. The project was realised in 2013 and reduced the VOC of approximately 8 tons per year.
